A Fyffe couple were arrested after stolen wakeboards were found on their property, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office reported.

On June 23, investigators received a tip from the Fyffe Police Department about a victim who had two wakeboards stolen from his boat on County Road 400 on June 12. The victim spotted the boards for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

Jake Ryan Carter, 27, admitted to stealing the boards, according to the sheriff's office. He was taken into custody and booked into the DeKalb County Detention Center.

Kristie Nicole Carter, 28, was also arrested for receiving stolen property. Authorities said she was aware the boards were stolen and had posted them online for sale.

Other stolen items were recovered from the property and are being returned to their rightful owner.
